prowheelie92 neither of these board would be of any benefit to you, the particular foamie is cheap and not particular good and will be likely to break easily, the minigun is a specialist board for riding bigger waves with speed and power.
Look at a fun board or a minimal something with width, length and volume something about 8ft would be in the ideal range and it will quite some time before you grow enough in skill to move to anything else.
A point I disagree with nickyb on is;
I would not recommend a softy , they are IMO only good for a few early lessons and then you move onto a real board.
BTW have you actually tried surfing yet or only thinking about doing it and where would you go surfing that too would help us advise you
one thing I haven't asked is your age and gender, might help too! young people have easier ;earning curve!
