Hello everyone!

This is my first time that i post, but i've tracking this web long time ago. Last week i bought a board, it is second hand cause im beginner i prefer not to spend now. Well, the case is the board is in proper conditions but the nose needs to be repair. I am working on it, and i just finished of sanding and next step is use UV repair. But it always keeps in mind that i had questions as: Did i well? Shouldnt i buy it?

So here some pictures are:

When i bought it:

And now, after sanding:

Welcome on your first post, and I hope your surf journey grows in enjoyment.

The repair is adequate for a temporary repair as it is it will not effect the performance of the board , as soon as you get a little money together I'd look at getting a proper glass and nose repair.
Why is that because eventually the solar resin will allow water in near the stringer and bigger problems will begin!

Things you might like to read about in the forums is choosing a board that suits your weight size and aids you, if you are a big person that board may be too small.
Talk more on the forum learn more.
Oh one more thing, in what country are you learning to surf? :D

Hahaha thanks for your answer!!!! i read a lot here about the "correct measurements" that fit me and i looked for one board that is so. But you can understant my concern with that kind of problems, because i dont know anything about problems and i dont want them neither hahaha
But if you tell me that this nose is not that big bad thing that i thought, i feel better hahaha

So you found out that i am not english speaker.... you'r right haha i suppose that from my bad-good english hahaha im from Spain. We live far but we can comunicate nearly hahaha

Here i am hare again writting, but now not to ask for an advise but give a explanation to those possible afraid beginners who are in these kind of problems.
I put my hand on the broken nose and first thing is purify the area and then make a kind of boundary in order to keep controlled the UV DING REPAIR. Put the enough quantity that you think. It's better to be excesive than lack.

Then open your window or expost it 5 minutes to the sun and it would get hard.
Next step is taking out the plasting boundary (it goes easy) and sanding trying to give it the proper shape depending on the nose we had at the beginning:

Image

The steps in sanding are:
Hard paper (in order to get out the outer part)
Medium paper (in order to get more detailed zone and more homogeneous)
Watter proof paper (in order to make the surface smooth and not scratched)

And this is the result:

In pictures it seems that there's a step between parts but theres no.

Finally it cost me:
UV REPAIR 15€
Sand papers 2€
Time 10 minutes

I hope that however wonders this would have this question answered.
Have good waves.
