Surfing Waves

Hi!
I'd like to spend more time surfing and less getting ready.
So, how an I speed up:
Putting on and taking off all the gear ( wetsuit, booties for the most part)
Wetsuit cleaning (salt, I usually hose everything and let dry), cleaning the sand off my car floors (I keep my board in the car)
Speaking of, how can I quickly dry and clean my board before it goes in the car for the trip home ?

Some notes to share:
1. Putting on and taking off all the gear ( wetsuit, booties for the most part): for fast put-on, place plastic bags over feet & you'll slide right through
2. Wetsuit cleaning (salt, I usually hose everything and let dry) - I keep a tub of soapy water with closed lid on patio. Then I just dunk and do not rinse clear.
3. Cleaning the sand off my car floors (I keep my board in the car) - keep a whisk broom and/or little 12V vacuum in car, but put board in bag. Before placing board in bag, use whisk broom to brush off sand and water
4. Quickly dry and clean my board before it goes in the car - see whisk broom immediately above.

P.S. I use whisk broom on booties before removing them and have little to no sand on them when remove & placed in storage bag

I just leave the sand in my car and clean it out once a month or so. Or less, usually. That saves time.

Then again I have young(ish) kids, so a bit of sand is the least of my cleaning problems.

Do you keep your board in a bag? That will overcome a lot of your sand and water problems. Sure you have to spend 30 seconds putting it into the bag.

A plastic tub in the car, or one of those rubber baskets (like this http://shop.thefutureperfect.com/capazo ... t-red.html) can be used to dump all your gear in. Or just get a rubber floot mat for the boot (works well for wagons)
