It's just started. The webcast is running and the first heat is underway.
Josh Kerr has opened the scoring with a 0.23 - hopefully things will improve for him :-D

Women's division final complete. Ms. Tyler Wright (AUS) won it. Our local Santa Barbara, competitor, young Lakey Peterson, didn't get through the quarter finals.

All of these female competitors surf very well. Sometimes it is an inspiration. Other times it is depressing because they surf better than I ever will.

I would have liked to surf today to try and improve, but we're going on two weeks with no surf. It's warm and sunny, but there are no waves.

Mens' division final today. Today's champion is Jordy Smith from South Africa. Brazilians De Sousa and Medina faced each other in the quarter finals. De Souza advanced to the semi-finals. Oz's Mick Fanning advanced to semi-finals. Stater did not get passed the quarter finals.
