is the type 4 the same as the type 25 van ? they can be a sweet lookin van , its still rear engined right ? what are you putting the dual battery set up for ?if its for a fridge or cooker or whatever i think you can get some kind of thing called a power inverter which runs directly of a 12v battery nad you can run fridges and all that sort of thing of it . try searching for them on the web> and see what comes up it may be quite handy and simple to do and save you finding a path for the wiring if thats what you need the dualbattery for and try
streetstyleandpower.com (sells vw heritage parts) and gsf.co.uk sells every vw part under the sun

Nah its the new model. Front engine.
We got an Invertor allready but obiviously don't want to be pullin of the main engine battery nd thus risking not being able to start the van up.
We will be planning to have alot pullin on the bat at once or over longer periods with out charging oportunities.
So An axuerally batter is order. The general scamatics are simple enough and its going to be housed under the passinger cab seat. And linked up to the main bat/alternator appropreatly. Just I can't find anywhere to get the bit I need. Justkampers have some of the stuff by the discription isn't good enough to see if I can find it elsewhere cheaper.
