i use surfsystem.co.uk at the moment, but it's not always right. what other sites are good to get your forecasts from? also how about those forecasts you pay for to get sent to your phone, like 6ftoffshore.com? any good? what do you all recommend?

im sorry but there is no way anyone can really predict surf a week ahead like on surf system. youd be lucky to get the wind right a week in advance let alone the swell
One guy who is really good is the soul surfer on a1surf does 3 reports a week for the whole of the british isles
the fnmoc do some really good charts especially the ones that predict swell over a certain period.
best way is to teach yourself and go through magicseaweed. the only way your gonna get the best waves is if you know your beach and what conditions make it work

I agree with Kieran - fnmoc are excellent.
This page is good for any UK / Eurpopean North Atlantic surfer http://facs.scripps.edu/surf/images/euranim.gif

The surf reports and sms stuff is all very well and good but how many beaches do they cover - only the main (and busy) beaches I should think. Kieran's right, teach yourself to read the weather charts and know your local beach conditions and that's all you need. Sure use the other resources but remember that they will never cover every single surf spot out there.
If you are a UK surfer just watch the weather at 6.30 on the BBC, check out their isobaric charts and go from there.

i normaly allways go on matts forcasts from eyeball-surfcheck.co.uk hardly ever gets it wrong and gets the swell size right unlike alot of surf reports that say its 2-3ft but when you get there its like 1ft

other than that magicseaweed.com is pretty good for the long range forcast to give you a ruff idea on what the surfs gonna be
