Hey guys!
I have a little dilema.... I currently have 2 boards:
6'8 Sam Egan Shortboard, and a bloody thick 6'2 fish.

I really want to get a shorter shortboard, sumthing which is really loose in the tail that i can throw around and start learning really sharp cutbacks.
Do you guys think i should trade in the fish and get a 6'0-6'2 REAL shortboard? or stick with the fish? Cus it really wanna start power surfing..... like getting into the cutbacks and roundhouses, but i cant turn that good with a thick board.
I am:
6 foot, 70kg, and i am just starting to learn backhand cutties.
I surf at bondi mostly.

PLease i need advice!

Cheers!

Go and have a chat at your local surf shop. They should be able to advise you. But if you want my opinion, ditch the chunky fish as you were saying. Given you height and weight, I'd go for the 6' 2" rather the the 6 footer.

Thanks! I sold the fish and got a sweet little 6 footer....
Aloha board with a rounded square tail. Nice and light. A great performance board! Not a ding or a scratch on it! $450AUS.

COOL SPRAY ASWELL!! :D

yeah bondi is crowded..... you get alot of dings, but the aim is to inflict more dings apon the other people than you recieve!
Its a lovely game. Nice world we live in!
