Hey, I'm fifteen and i love the water. I've been surfing for a couple years, ocean city, margate pier, the rockaways (i live in brooklyn). I'm constantly stressed out being a shortboader, because the waves are so inconsistent at the rockaways, and somewhat at ocean city.

Does anyone have any suggestions if where I should surf, I don't mind day trips. I'm 5'7.5 and i surf a 6'2 board i think. I forget how tall it is. Maybe i'm just a wining brat? :? anyway please if there is anyone out there who has an idea of where i should surf say sumthin!

Hi neesay16, welcome to Surfing Waves!

I don't have any new location suggestions for you to try, but have you though about getting a longboard for all the waves that you wouldn't go out in on your shortboard? Use your shortboard in the right conditions, but get in the water a little more often.

I live/surf on LBI and surf OC a lot. Yeah - it's not easy for the shortboarders, especially lately. I agree with the previous comment - a longboard would be a worthwhile addition if you really want to surf. You'd be able to get some decent rides on the 0- 1' nonsense we deal with in the summer.

We had a decent 3-5' day a month ago, and a few good days since then, but it's been mostly flat out there.
