Surfing Waves

I am new to the surfing world. I have not dipped my toes in the water yet and don't even own a wetsuit or anything. I figured joining this site before I try to actually get out there to catch waves would be smart on my end. But I have looked at wetsuits/springsuits and found that the sizing can be very confusing. I stand at 5'1 but the difficult issue is that I have a larger chest than it seems they figure I should have. Full D cups. How can I find something that fits comfy? Are there certain brands that might be more forgiving to women? I weigh at 120. 30 years old. Ha ha...thanks for your help in advance. And I am also open to learning anything that a beginner like me needs to know. =]

Look for suits with 100% ultraflex/ultrastretch/superstretch features.
Try before you buy - don't buy one online without knowing it will fit ok.
If all else fails, and you are unable to find a mainstream brand that fits your body shape, you can always get a custom wetsuit made. They are not that much more than an off the rack wetsuit.

As for advice, this site is packed full of it. Take a look at the learn to surf articles and some of the beginner topics here on the forum.

I am in the same situation as she was on the fact that I do not have surf shops around me. But I will just drive closer to the water and problem solved!! Ha ha. Nothing like spending a day trying on wetsuits. Whew...I feel exhausted already. Lol.

So far I love this site and hope to make a lot of friends and learn a bunch. Hope to be in the waters soon!! ♥
