Hey guys,

I have recentley bought a kodak zm1 (kodak mini) to capture some footage of me surfing to send to family and friends, the camera was quite cheap and i wasnt going to go and spend god knows how much on a GoPro, but me being me my camera came today and i relized that i have not bought a mount to attach my camera to the surfboard, well long story short i am going out to surf tommorow and i have no way to attach the camera to the surfboard and i dont think ill be able to buy anything from any local shops, so i was wondering if anyone had any ideas?
Thanks Joe. :D

I hate to disillusion you JoeH the camera is only water proof to 3 meters and could easilynfailmunder surf pressure, it may stand the test. Trying to get you up and running tomorrow is a big ask!

You could try and see if the standard size tripod mount screw in fits the Go pro mount for the deck of your board, but the timing option of the go pro will be missing and you'll have to do some fancy gymnastics to take photos of yourself. But I think the camera is too thin to have that mount
There is a wrist strap camera holder available that you flip the camera up and press the button, I use this with an Olympus tough camera 10 meter depth rating!
Works well! It's called a Wrist Pod, here is a link http://www.goldenhourcompany.com/product.htm
Good luck, remember to strap the camera some how to you or your board!

Motto and you probably know it already plan ahead!

The Go pro is not my personal favorite option but it beats hands down a cheaper cobbled together arrangement.

Now if you are surfing with a friend ,get them to take some shots turn about and you take some of them.
