Surfing Waves

Howdy all,

Found the forum today after cruising around the net. Spent this weekend going through my old man's garage and I found my old surfboard. It's a Hobie single fin, 6'6, and brought back a lot of memories. I surfed for years when I was much younger, and haven't in at least a decade. Back then, 6'6 was an enormous board for me. Now, not so much. I live over on the gulf coast of Florida, and after a couple of hairy years moving around, I'm getting back into my salt water roots. Have my skimboard and surfboard, and they are begging for a place in my truck. With the weather getting better over here, I'm looking forward to the state park in the summer. I have a few questions I'm going to search around for, and hopefully I'll get to pick some brains around here. Cheers.

I may have been a bit generous with the phrase 'old guy.' At this point, I'm pushing 30. Not old by normal standards, but a little late to get into the sport after a decade or more.

Here's my board - gotcha sticker on one side, flowing waters on the other. Old school to say the least. Skim board included because I was planning to install a rack in my garage this weekend, but that's another project I kind of gooned up. Oh, and I have no plans to surf on the bed frame..
