Surfing Waves

Dear all,

In a program about PKRA, a surfer says "The wind is really light so we went with the really big kites like fifteen or sixteen with longer lines"

What does "fifteen or sixteen" refer to exactly? Also, What is the meaning of "with longer lines"?

not that i am a kite surfer, but i imagine that the fifteen or sixteen is the size of the kite. 15 or 16 feet. also longer lines will refer to the control lines that are used with the kite.
