Hey Guys,

Well you think the social stigma is bad for post-nasal drippage, try having your face look like you were in a fight with an iron.

So obviously creams etc to heal it (just made this topic to bring awareness to this phenomenon that some people may not know of really)

But what about prevention? Anyone have any good methods? Or hilarious wind burn stories?

Mine happened surfing in <8C water in Wales last friday. To top it off, while i was running back to the car with my face was on fire it started hailing, bad.

Cheers,

Josh

Well, arctic explorers use creams for this - you can ask around (Vaseline based?)

Vaseline would probably work on it's own.

As a sailor, wind burn combined with sunburn of your lips is par for the course. At least surfing is done mostly in the morning before the wind picks up.

Best I've used is white zinc, but it rubs off, and tastes bad. Otherwise go to a chemist and get a lip-balm with sunblock in it.
