There are so many SUPs entering the water here even at my particular break, it would probably be known as the Cussed art SUP series.
Bad pun aside, it is not the board but the attitude of the rider that determines the respect or lack of it any surf craft gets at a break.
It can also be the poor attitude of the riders already there as well. Just plain pig headed prejudice without seeing the reality.
A simple test for this; take your surf vehicle down to the shoreline leave it there for a while and watch how it behaves, it soon becomes obvious the rider is the key.
