Listing to the hurley pro, one of the commentators mentioned surfers waxing their feet. Anyone heard of that before?

Yeah, I've heard that they wax the
top of their feet so that they can rub sand and crap off the
bottom of their feet with the other foot once they're in the water

Interesting. I've never heard of it, and I've never seen anyone do it. Is this specific to certain breaks, is there something special about Trestles that I missed?

holy bat out of hell, I thought I was the only one that did that(i started doing this when i started surfing in Florida with sticky bumps)don't get me wrong I also wax my board but some reason I had this mentality that I would get more out of the wax if I waxed both, and depending on the wax your feet also smells great.

your feet also smells great.

A good reason right there ! Acciainoli
So, it's the sole of your feet, and it's just extra wax for grip?

yeah that's how I do it just for grip, but I just saw I believe Adriano on the hurley pro do like some really weird move with his feet, he rubbed his feet against the board while he was out at the line up, the guys said they (pros)do it all the time.that was the first time i saw . I just little piece of wax to my feet, since I moved down to Brazil, I now use this FU WAX, Sticky Bumps too expensive

No, I've heard about it a couple of times at various places, and you can see the pros rub their feet while they paddle out if you watch.
Personally, I think thats the least of my problems....

agreed, I don't do anything extreme enough to require waxy feet.
