I just came across some photos of her after her mullering at Teahupoo. 51 stitches - I won't post a picture bcause it's pretty graphic.
Ouch to say the least.

did she hit the reef or was it the board..?

It was the reef. The page I saw had a frame by frame of the wave she took the wipeout on. If I come across it again I'll post it. With all the photogs and media coverage that day, I should thing there's plenty of pictures / footage around.

But in the mean time if sp doesn't mind you can feast your eyes on this rather good wipeout.

that's a horrendous wipeout, I can't imagine what taking that lip on the head would be like.

kinda good move, he went off the board... imagine the lip hitting him full force while he is still standing...
