desprate for a surf

man how long can this blown out lumpy mess of a swell stay its been like this for weeks and set to be bad for the rest of the week as well, if only those winds would just drop or go light offshore what i would do now for a nice clean 3-4ft wave

Yeah I know, it seems to have been here for ages. I was gonna risk going in at Woolacombe today, but realised there was actually zero point in doing so.
Should improve soon though, if only the trusty old SJ wasnt going on holiday!!
Looks like im gonna have to get interpretting some wave-charts instead of letting people do it for me. :P

HOWEVER... the following week (Monday 27th onwards) is looking great with high pressure moving back over the UK producing what is currently looking like light and offshore Easterly winds, and the charts are showing a lonmg-period W-SW swell pushing through making for good surf on both coasts hopefully!!!'

heres some hope shame its a week away

im going surfing sat i dont care if its blown out or flat im sure ill find some where even if it just means geting wet

lol' .. i've got a dirty finger print on me monitor from tapping the screen and muttering " no, no ...no !!

Theres a comp on this weekend as well i think , really hope it pulls itself together just a little , so the day isnt a washout for all those that travel a lot further than me to the water :?

but fingers crossed for next week .... " oh god of ye swell be mercyfull on the dedicated winter nutters " , and im still gonna wear my shortie ... i refuse to beleive that winter is coming ... i laugh in the face of blue toes and no feeling from the groin down

Aaaw, the lovely winter sesh's, uncrowded...epic...but freezing and covered in 5mm rubber.
Like to see the hardcore 'surfers' out in the depths of winter sometime, its all very well surfing our summer waters, but are they amongst the ice-caps in the winter eh!?
Yeah sounds good, ill have to take you up on the brew offer me thinks, the frozen toes memory is becoming all to clear now the water is on the down  But dudes, we cant complain. How many hurricane swells were we blessed with this summer?! Roll on next summer :D

...your right , the waters not too bad still its only my feet that sufer cause they get exposed to the air .

lol' .." hardcore last week in Saunton ...we stayed in the water 3hrs solid and saw most people come and go , by the time we got out it was dark and my feet were completely numb , my bro' had to near carry me back to the car ! ..." not the coolest exit from the beach ...but i sure as hell knew that i had given it my all that evening .
And those lovely girls in that lil' posh upstairs cafe / restaurant on the beach front there , made us a wicked hot choccy :D

...wonder if that place stays open all winter ?
