Surfing Waves

Hi guys..
I'm a British surfer to be and as I'm not yet old enough to move to the coast or get a board yet (I'm 15 years old living in London with mates who don't know the difference between a shorebird or fomie)

I thought I would try help today's surfers with new board attached surf aids.

one idea would be an attachment that you install onto your board very much like a fin but it give your board a little more speed to get to a good break spot quicker or help out paddle a rival surfer on the wave of the day.

another Idea of mine is a Velcro attatchment system that you aply to the board and some kind of Velcro socks that you wear so you don't have to keep applying wax each session. This one will also allow you to find a spot on the board, pit the Velcro in that spot so you know exactly where you want your feet. and also you'll know that velcrow is petty sticky meaning youll be able to make sharper turns without having to worry about your feet slipping off the wax.

So yeah if you like emm say so and if you don't like the ideas just say what you think would be cool nd I'll try sort some thing out. Thanks for yerr time.

Hey bro, it is cool that you think abour surf and want to do it. But I would encourage you do some research too when you have an idea, to see if i's feasible, or has been tried before by others.

Your first idea is a motorised board, believe it or not, people tried it in various eras, they had prototypes in 50's and 60's that had propulsion, and in recent development, a San Diego dude showed off a prototype with water jets.

I would not welcome such motorised board on an average day on an average surf break, and I'm willing to bet most surfers will share the sentiment. There is already strong resentments towards board riders using different craft, shorties hate longboarders, everyone hates the SUP. To throw a motorised board in the mix...

Secondly, a "rival" surfer will not take kindly you 'out MOTORBOARD' him by a machine, if you out PADDLE him then that's fair and sqare, but don't be surprised if you hog your wave on a motor board and someone break the board AND throw it in your face. It is cheating and lazy and just... so wrong.

Also, what' stopping others also to buy a motorboard? Then no one has an advantage. Have some heavy machine going around n surfzone will soon cause accidents, and then you will have regulations ban them from the beach anyway.

On you 2nd idea, yes it has been invented before too, it's called a deck grip, or stomp pad.
Even on a short board you do NOT want your foot glued to your deck, this is NOT snowboarding. What is wrong with applying wax each session anyway?

Sometimes the next great invention can come a fresh mind, BUT, I am willing to bet those that succeed all spend a good amunt of time thought things through in detail first.

In part surfing is special because of its simplicity - gadgets and gizmos fly against this.

Ok if your asking for opinions here are mine.
If you can come up with a magic fin like device that isn't a motor, that is compact and doesn't effect the performance of a surfboard and can aid in getting out to surf breaks etc then defo go for it and this is important! Keep quiet about it until you have a patent! If you're thinking of a motor then forget it. Jet ski's already have their place and i don't want them in any line up im in.
Sand/snow and velcro are not the best combination. Walk across a sandy beach in your fashionable socks you will find that they get covered in seaweed, sand and other such stuff, maybe even some wax andbecome pretty useless. Plus its already been done.
Also work on your english and spelling more but still try to think up ideas, creativity is good.

Oh and what is the difference between a shorebird and a fomie? The colour of feathers or length of beak?
