Hi all ...

hoping you Devon pro's can answer something for me ?! ... if you have read my last post about 'surface lying fish' , this should make sense !!.

Apparentely the fish i saw in their thousands at Saunton last week , could well have been pushed in , by not tides and the strength of the waves ? ...But apparentely " KILLER WHALES " that allegedly occasionally drift into Saunton and scare all the fish in !!! !!!

IS THIS TRUE ??!!!! ...or was this just a story from one of old boys ' trying to put the scare on me hehehe

think some ones pulling your leg there lol

its not imposable that a killer whale would come into are waters but i dout very much it would and besides they tend not to eat smaller fish and pray on sea lions and seals and the likes

ive seen makrel swim past me at saunton ive all so seen huge bass in the peaks of waves and last month was lukcy enough for a sun fish to swim right past me with its fin out the water at putts was totaly amazing

" thanks phil " ... i thought that sounded a little bit tall

... ' lol' ... the old boy was convincing though :? ..maybe they have visited at some point in time and now its become one of his favourite storys

... lol' ..the reason i was so interested was , as i was paddling through one big school i kinda flapped my arms around to scare them off ..." and thud " ... i thumped something real big ... lol' ..it suddenly dawned on me that i might have been punching 'free willy' :D
