WARNING WARNING WARNING Do not attempt to grind out the fin box especially on an epoxy Bic
ink could go everywhere. Seriously you have a high risk of breaking the outer shell of the Bic and letting water in.
look at your fin base where it inserts in the box, that is where you do your work.
If it is stiff and but still can be put in and out the only the lightest of sanding will be necessary.
If it's stiffer than that do the fit and sand fit and sand method or hit with an angle grinder carefully until the fin fits.
BTW snug and smooth fit is the best go too far and you'll then have a wobble fin
It is likely that in production of your Bic the box got a little warped so I repeat.
