How to prevent yellowing

Was looking for tips to prevent yellowing and had a question too....upon returning from a session I'll usually just toss my board in my board bag and drive home and set it in the garage....a few days later I'll take it out again and when I pull it out the board is still damp from the last time....would this cause any issues with yellowing the board or am I good? Just REALLY hate good boards turning yellow over time

The sun yellows your board. But you should dry it off before bagging it cause it'll never really dry out in there. Then it starts to smell...

or just get a board sock

Yes the sun can yellow your board like mentioned above. Another way your board can yellow is if you get small glass cracks or small dings in your board and they take in moisture. The result is the foam starts to yellow. Try to fix small dings right away, or at least put a clear mylar sticker over any glass cracks and after you get a few you can fix them all at once. I have also used a acrylic clear spray coating on glass cracks. The idea is the acrylic clear spray penetrates the small cracks and helps seal them from water damage. I don't think the wet board in the board bag causes any yellowing. I have done it for years.
