They do it because they are sponsored, why do you want to advertise companies for nothing? :)

I am pretty sure they glass them on though.

Milzo, are you cleaning the board really good before applying the stickers? Try taking some gasoline or rubbing alcohol with a papertowel and cleaning every piece of dirt or dust off the board. Wait til it dries, and then apply the sticker.

I'm glad to see you're still stoked on surfing for the right reasons. Put the stickers on your board because you like the way they make your stick look, not because someone owes you something. Stay Stoked! Don't let the surf industry ruin the soul.

Most of the pros logos are surfboard laminates they get from their sponsors, and they are applied under the glass job. If you want to have a better chance of your stickers staying on your board try this technique. clean all wax off your board and buff with a towell. Then use rubbing alcohol and a paper towell to get super clean the area where you want to apply the decals. If on the deck of the surfboard, you can also wax over them. I start in the middle of the decal and apply wax toward the edges of the decal. Keep applying the wax in the center each time untill the wax is built up completely over the decal. You do not want to lift the edges of the decal up with the surf wax. Your decals should have a much better chance of staying on your board now.
