I'm not interested in selling this long board. I am hoping to get some honest opinions about what people think it might be worth. It is hand painted using stencils, spray paint, air brush, and a lot of labor. I put over 60 hours of work into it. I'm wondering if you think there is any market for it, and how much someone might pay. It's not meant to be ridden, it's an art piece. Thanks for the help. Please respond.

Bring it to a popular surf spot, and any others you have like it. Preferably a touristy location. Chat to cafe/bar, bohemian hostel type owners and see what you can get for it. Make up another one that you didn't put 60 hours into, and stick it on e-bay, and see how much it goes for.

You could also try chatting to a few local shapers and see if they could make use of your services painting board orders for them.

No idea how much art goes for, or is worth, especially in this medium. I do know that's a sweet looking board. 2 thumbs up!!

Depending on the circles it is received in, anywhere from $50US to $1500US.

For me personnally, I'm trying to make the connection between the pop musicians shown and surfing/surfboards. Many of them don't have anything to do with surfing.

I'm also curious about "why a surfboard"? The "canvas" could have been any shaped piece of wood, fiberglass or other material.

These out-loud musings aside, of which by the way, are not to depreciate the work. They are merely some voiced comments that are not designed to demean the effort. There is obvious talent on display.

By the way, there are a lot of painted surfboards in the Channel Island surf shop in Santa Barbara, California. They are displayed in the ceiling. Most feature colorful images of characters. Some have something do to with surfing, others are superheros or cartoon characters. I'm not sure they are actually for sale, but one friend, who is building a successful construction company in San Francisco told me that he is going to buy one of these boards one day.
