Surfing Waves

Hey guys,

I planned to pimp my surfboard a little (much ) because it looks so boring with only two coloured lines on the edges of it. But I actually don't really know with what I should pimp my surfboard. I was thinking about the stuff which you use to paint cars, because that should withstand water. Putting stickers on my board doesn't really work either, because they get washed of in the first hour I surf that day.

Maybe you guys have a clue???

I'd imagine with stickers you'd have to use a clear coat of some sort after to, like to said, stop it from getting washed off.

just search the forum or google, for "paint surfboard", you will get detailled instructions of how to paint your board (what paint to use etc, for instance, check this out). you could use airbrush (expensive "tools"), spray paint of even waterproof felt-pens, depending on what exactly you would like to do to your board
i was wondering about the same a couple of weeks ago, so i started searching the internet (i also have a boring line around on top, need to enhance it a little ).

@noahhh That was just the advise I needed, I'll check the site out. I think I don't really mind if it is a little expensive, cause my aim is to paint my surfboard

I think so, I just have to check out what colour it is.

i think i'm gonna use those acrylic paint pens for my board, you can get them for app. 3-5 euros per piece and make really cool designs! if you're up to drawing/painting a little. i will create a design on the computer with a graphics programme and then apply it to my board. if you plan to create your own design first digitally and you need any help, just tell me.
p.s. what's the surf like in holland? never really occured to me that it might actually be possible to surf there on a regular basis?

I was thinking about using aerosols, so first cut out something on paper, put the design on my board and spray (a) colour(s) over it.
Maybe you could tell me what the graphics programme is (PM). I was planning to make something like flames on my surfboard, cause it looks great - in my opinion - when it's finished

There are some spots in Holland (like Bergen aan Zee) where there are nearly always good waves. But the problem is that only wind can make the best waves :S

I love flames (I'm not the gothic type at all ), yeah, I know what you mean
