This is a genuine auction, but it made me laugh. make sure you read the Q&A's as some of the responses are brilliant.

apologies if its been posted on here in a different thread!

I saw this a couple of days ago but didn't post anything about it. Since then I see that Xcel and others have added stuff to it, and that 90% is going to to Japanese Earthquake victims.... that's if Ebay don't remove it.

It's popular though, currently over 250K views

Carve have also put up a subscription and it's gone over £1k now.

Some of the responses to questions are pure class. It's a must read.

Jeez, the listing has gotten crazy. 569k views and highest bid at 11.3k. Did this really just come about from one guy making a funny post while trying to sell his wetsuit?

It's all over now, check out all the other stuff donated by surf companies, and the final winning bid price. Nice

I don't know where i got the 11.3k figure from but anyway, 8999 is still a kak load! Wonder what everything is actually valued at. If I'm thinking about this right, the original poster made a profit from this?

5% on the £8999, enough for a brand new wettie.

I highly doubt the bid would have gotten as high and so much stuff would have been added in by the companies if he wasn't giving it to charity but initially he wasn't when they first started adding stuff so who knows :\

The saga continues...

as the muppet who won the auction refused to pay, as did the next two highest bidders, the lot is now being raffled (UK only)

go to http://www.bearsdontwearwetsuits.com/raffle and you can buy tickets for £2.50 each. again at least 70% of money going to the fund. Fortunately they have almost sold enough to match the Ebay amount.

draw is at 8pm 30th April, so get in quick. Don't buy too many or you'll ruin my chances of winning!!

p.s. if you buy tickets based on this post, and you win.... can i have one of the prizes?!?!?!!?
