Do you think it is what seperates the real surfers from the weekend warriors?

Nah, it's what seperates people with jobs to go to at 9am and students.

Nope, I dont think it serparates the "surfers" from the others. I think its purely schedules and other commitments. Dawn Patrol is the only time of the day I have no other responsibilites so thats a time I surf often. Honestly though, I wish I had no other commitments or responsibilities so I could just suf from dawn till dusk everyday. I guess that's what vacations are for.

I work 8-5 and I tend to go out early and right after work for 2 separate 1-2 hr sessions. It helps being able to see the water from your living room. Before I moved I was only able to surf weekends, now that I'm closer I try to surf every day.

The only times I go for the dawnie session is when I'm pretty convinced there will be waves and just want to avoid all the crowds. Saying that by the time I've cycled down to the beach and got changed it has usually been light for a good hour

I start at 8 in the morning normally after an hour or two of a drive so there's only a few months of the year it's bright enough. Just when you think it's going great the clocks go forward and by the time the sun catches up it's flat for the summer. Really need to figure out a way of working less.
