Duckdiveable?

I'm a 155 pound mini-mal rider who's searching for a smaller board that would be as big as possible to catch some waves, yet small enough for learning how to duckdive.

I've been looking at two boards:

a fat shortboard 6'6 x 20 x 2 1/2
or
a funboard 6'8 x 21' x 3'

I'm sure I'll catch more waves on the funboard, but am I going to be able to duckdive it?

I dont think duck diving that would be easy.... Id go with the short. But if you looking for something to ride in small waves and big waves, geta fish shortboard, there easly duckdiveable and can catch waves small and big.

I weigh 160 pounds and all my boards are 5'10" to 6'8". The small ones (under6'4") can be d/dived well. The mini Gun being 6'8" with more volume, with my weight can't.

Surfboards are a compromise. The easier to paddle & catch waves on (i.e more boyant)...the harder to d/dive well.
Smaller thinnner boards are easier to d/dive...but harder to catch waves on.
