Surfing Waves

It's been discussed but now it is official. Kelly Slater is going to be making waves.

Does this open up the potential of surfing in the Olympics?

I think personally that this could help push those crap so called sports out of the olympics and make way for surfing. I cant remember having more fun then when I'm watching the archery or the three day equisterian.

Well, let's just sit back and see what happens. It can't be worse than the wave-makers from that UK guy and it might be better than Disney's wave-maker. I'm skeptical, but because Kelly S is involved will sit tight to see what develops. Personally, more than half the reason I surf is to get out into nature. Sometimes, I'll paddle to the outback and simply watch the others surf, never take a wave, look at the birds, enjoy the cool water, watch the animals, stare at the sun, and escape demanding employment. So, surfing isn't always all about catching waves.

Good point, Billie. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this developes. And how fast!
