I watched it all live and it was good to see not only slater whoop de sousa's ass to take his 10th title but also to see the comp get pulled out of the gloom that resulted from the loss of Andy Irons into the celebration of what was an awesome achievement by slater.
I thought it was an excellent show case for our sport and how surfing can dispell the worst of times, replacing them with good vibes!
