Surfing Waves

hi, i am a relative beginner surfer, usually surfing about 3 foot mush on my funboard. I have been given temporary use of a board but am not sure what kind of conditions it is designed for. it is a double concave 6' 10", 18.75 and 2 3/8. Am i right thinking that it is best suited for larger waves that my 3 foot mush? thanks

you can use a bigger board on any wave, its only just for more performance you would want a shorter board. but b/c ur surfing 3foot mush and you are slightly beginner, you could stick with that board or get a fish, 6'4"+

Yes, the board sounds like a step-up board for bigger waves. Its 6'10 but relatively narrow and thin, so it might even be a semi-gun - we'd need a picture to be able to say really.
One thing is for certain is that it wont really be suitable for a beginner surfer, or for mushy waves. But, hey, give it a go - it'll be a learning experience and it might work fine

This sounds like a really strange board to me. It could be a laugh if you could really really surf well in all conditions, but as a beginner - get rid of it – for a beginner it will absolutely destroy your surfing enthusiasm and desire .

But, hey, give it a go - it'll be a learning experience and it might work fine
