so on monday i was surfing my homebreak and this brazilian guy who's been trying to burn everyone drops in on me even after i call him off 3 times. i lose my cool and cuss him out and the dude doesn't look the least bit sorry. then yesterday the same guy is there again pulling the same crap, dropping in on people, back paddling, overall kooking it. i catch this outside right (rare in this worldclass left reefbreak) and tuck into a tight barrel. the dude is trying to drop in and i can't make much noise over the barrel i guess cuz he drops in straight. i eat it trying to avoid him and he gets pitched. again, just looks at me with a dumb expression. i vent to my friend back in the line up and he avoids me. later when i paddle in i notice a crack in my nose. i'm gonna surf again later and he'll probably be there. i hate getting pissed- it ruins my session and i feel like a jerk and i'm not sure if trying to get everyone to kick him out is the right thing to do. my friend said to "accidentally" air onto his back next time he tries to drop in, but that might be a little extreme.

Continual intentional malicious dropins are bad and dangerous for everyone around him - ding his board with yours and then repair yours after. Sad events dude - I hope it resolves itself with no pain.

oh i should add that i mentioned he's brazilian not to make any generalizations about the country or people from there, but because there's no way for me to fully communicate with him and educate him a bit. i think brazil is great and i'm thankful for brazilian waxes.

If he's dropping in on you, then he's presumably dropping in on everyone? If so, everyone will be just as pissed at him as you are.
So a bit of 'collective' persuasion might be the way to go - when 10 guys paddle over to someone and let them know the error of their ways, there's rarely any violence and the guy will get the point.

no he's not good. he can do top turns but that's about it. anyway, the way i squashed the problem was i full on dropped in on him- he back paddled me and was trying to call me off. i flicked him off as i cutback. he asked me why i took the wave and i was shocked he would even ask me that after snaking and dropping in on everyone so i told him straight up why and he muttered something in portuguese and paddled off. he stays out of my way now at least, but i still see him dropping in on other people.
