Agreed there is probably too much plastic around but i find it hard to believe that this statement out of the article is true
"Stop using plastic bags – the number 1 killer for marine life as they are mistaken for jelly-fish"
Errm what about humans? Surely we catch and kill way more marine life?

You're absolutely right there, but I think the article was referring to deaths attributable to marine litter!

apparently turtles think plastic bags are jellyfish, try to eat them and choke. So they are probarbly referring to the number one killer of marine turtles. I dont have a clue if this is actually the case, especially since most baby turtles die by being eaten by just about everything.

Yeah if you've ever seen a floating bag (from underwater) esp. if its been about for a while and the colouring has deteriorated it does look like a jelly... Try to cough up a plastic bag when your throat looks like this..

after each session find a piece and pick it up.......if it like my beaches, you can have several without taking a step out of your way!
Teach your kids to not litter.
If you see some one littering....heckle them, make them feel like the dirt they are soiling.
