Surfing Waves

My name is Chris and currently doing a degree in sport. I'm looking to gain some information from people that surf or interested in surfing. This topic is to help me gain some information about people's boards and additional questions to go with it. I would much appreciate it if you could take some time to reply to this with some answers to the following questions. feel free to private message me your answers or as a comment to this topic.

1. Male or Female?
2. Age?
3. Did you recieve lessons when you started surfing?
4. would you consider yourself to have a good knowledge of surfing?
5. Do you know what materials your surfboard is made of?, if yes, what....
6. Ever surfed aboard? if yes, where and was it better than britian.......
7. please list all the types of boards you have used.. and which one is your favourite?
8. how many fins does your favourite board have?
9. where do you regularly surf?
10. Any comments about surfing .....

5.yes form and poly glass and soon to be a hollow wood one too
6. yes surf is only as good as the swell is on the day
7. 5'10'' qued fish with stepped in tail, 6.0 square tail thruster, 6'0'' magic rug as i call it lol, 6'3'' thruster and soon to be a 6'1'' hollow wood when i have finshed it. don't have a favourite all for different types of waves

7. I have surfed just about everything other than a wood board. Boards are designed for specific conditions so my fav depends entirely on the surf conditions.
8. I am partial to quad fins these days.

10. You cannot sum surfing up in a few lines it is something to be experienced.

Real Surfing is a way of life:
Beach to work then back to beach.
Work hours ? _ don’t matter because work is a rest from surfing – just do both well.
Maybe nip into the house for a good scrub and a bunch of fresh shirts and ties now and again.
To last another couple of weeks at the beach just go buy clean clothes !

I have lived the life and want to do so again – I am just about to start my own company to reap some bucks while giving pleasure and satisfaction to others thus allowing me to once again surf the swells all day, all year.

I just got notice my trademark has been accepted and is now officially registered !
