Surfing Waves

Hey guys,

Is perth any good for surfing? Have heard that it gets very little swell and might move to western australia. Want to go to margaret river but i'm afraid there won't be enough job opportunities.

Perth is ok for surf but most of the swell gets blocked out by Rottnest ( which is pretty good if you can get over there)
You can get a wave from Leighton all the way up to Hillarys but if you want more consistent surf it's best to get out of town. When there is a good swell it gets really busy at the city breaks.
Surf is much better at Margaret River but you probably will probably struggle finding work. (there's a lot of surfers keen to find work there )
Now that they have finished the Perth-Bunbury freeway it's knocked a bit of time off the journey south.
