Surfing Waves

I dont see my post so I'm posting it again does anyone know about the use of pony bottles in big waves.I hear about there use but dont know how there using them are there special techniques.Is there a special regulator setup it would seem to me that we might all go alittle bigger if the fear of being held down for over sixty seconds could be a little dampered.And if it's all just rumor maybe we should check into it.The sport might go even further with more technology.
