wetsuit issue

i've been having an issue with my wetsuit. it keeps rubbing on the back of my neck and it scratches it real bad that it looks like a road rash. anybody got any idea how to avoid this?

Yeah mate I use to get it something horrid. I seriously looked like I'd tried to hang myself any time I'd had a long session in the water, which is no laughing matter. Use to freak my family out.
Use vaseline (petroleum jelly) and rub it all around your neck before putting on your wettie. Seriously mate, I just started doing this last week and I've clocked up about 15 hours in the water since then with my wettie and not the slightest irritation. I deserve a kick in the balls for waiting so long to try it.

There is also a product called Belly Jelly which is similar to petro jelly; but designed to combat surfers rash from wetsuits and such. Works GREAT and have been using it for years!

Whack some vaseline on your neck on the spot and then on the rubber section on the wettie....should hold up for a 2 hour stint...I do it all the time...either than or look at a new wettie..could get a high neck rashie that covers but you may get flushing!

I use an anti friction barrier cream ment for stopping nipple chaffe!!
