Had a blast... I've only been surfing for two years, and this is the biggest that I've been out. Below are some pics from the local surfreport(ers)(surfjaxpier.com/911surfreport.com). I'm hoping to do it again tomorrow. It's about time the East Coast US had some fun waves. And a nice little sequence in the first few pics :D

Is that guy really pulling on the nose of the drop-in monkey's board? That's class.

Waves look beautiful - except for the colour of the water!

hahaha, yeah, from the sequence of pics it looks like the guy on that wave pulled on the nose of the drop-in ninja to save both their butts from getting seriously hurt.

Here are a few more pictures from the day, a lot of credit goes out to the local photogs who took the time to take some amazing pics of this classic swell:

Hurricane Bill is gone and so was the 14' + waves it brought us.... We have ECSC (East Coast Surfing Competition) this weekend and thankfully Hurricane/tropical storm Dan (Danny Boy.. oh Danny Boy) is knocking off the coast. We are expected to get 10' this weekend so its time to live it up. Hope fair swell to you down in Flo-Rider land and as I do as packing my boards and surf-kit I make sure my hurricane/flood insurance is up to date :) leave the house to sink as long as I got waves!

Shame about the gutters, the wave mushes out further in (high tide?) That drop-in was on one of the better waves, I'd be fuming.

Yea we got the Bill swell down in the Caribbean a few days before you guys and it was very nice as well. Maybe not as clean tubing, although I head in the morning (before I arrived) people were getting tube after tube for about an hour.

Should be nice again tomorrow for us with this new mini-hurricane going by. They're expecting 9 feet/10 seconds, and with the spot I go to that means epic wave after wave. As long as there isn't that ***hole who told me to go to another spot just because I was barely standing up and he wanted all the surf for himself, it'll be good. It's not like I was preventing anybody from catching waves, I was letting them grab the ones that were too big for me on purpose.

But it's ok now, I can actually ride waves (surfing every day for a week you progress really fast) no problem, I'll show them

I know what you mean SeanGuna: I make sure my hurricane/flood insurance is up to date :) leave the house to sink as long as I got waves! - It's such a thrill to be out there that it's really difficult to worry about much else.
