forecasts & lola charts

Postby chilli_t » Sat Jul 18, 2009 7:34 pm

we have a couple hr drive to wrightsville (and 3 to nags head), so i have to rely pretty hevily on forecasts. unfortunately being a bit of a n00b, i'm not very good at basing good decisions off of them. i used surfline.com up to now, and started looking at swellinfo.com, because the surfline forecast isn't very specific. i figure it may be better than both if i could manage to interpret lola charts or better understand the basis of forecasts. i looked through the informational section on this site, but didn't really see much more info than i already knew. if someone could point me in a direction to gain a better comprehension of lola charts it'd be awesome, or info on better judging surf-forecasts. on the subject of forecasts, how reliable is swellinfo for the east coast?
thnx
