Hi,

I have been surfing swansea for the last 15 years and although the locals look mean they will help out a person in trouble, so if your surfing the populated breaks like, langland, caswell, llangentith there will be others about.

Its good having a surf buddie but reliable ones are hard to find.

I have surfed many swansea reefs alone, stupid i guess you could say, but lifes and adventure.

keith :D

You want to surf Port Eynon point, gnarly!!

I used to surf Gennith a lot and had a surprising number of good sessions in Horton!! (My gramps used to live in Port Eynon!)

I'm sure I read somewhere that if you do get into trouble, hold one hand still above your head; Don't wave it. Can anyone else confirm this?

Yup, that's supposed to be the drill.
But I reckon that while it might be the best way to attract the attention of a lifegaurd, a thrashing waving about arm would get other surfers attention quicker :?: :!: :?:
