Hi guys, what do you many of which trade surf wax and most bio-compatible and respects the environment? Is something that I have

not yet understood. They are truly bio-degradable?

dunno if they actually are or not, but i saw a thing on surfline where it showed you how to make candles out of your old wax. seemed pretty cool. i'm gonna start doing that

You're right is a great way to recycle the used surf wax. Only that I think that, that disperses in water or the environment

even if they do not want to be a little damaging. I have read many articles, and they say that it is compatible with the environment.

The surf wax, however, is made for a part on oil. So, I wonder, what really is compatible with nature? There is a type of surf

wax completely ecological or other less harmful?

some are, some aren't made with petroleum/chemicals that aren't quite 'green,' but many manufacturers are making natural bars out of who knows what. famous has some 'green label,' which, 'also features 100% recycled packaging printed with soy ink.'

The surf wax of the soy is already fabricated Sticky Bumps. Beautiful !!! It would not be bad if the other major brands are also

Very Good link Sar! This manufacturer specializes in eco wax. In Sardinia, and I think at the end in Italy, these types of surf wax are not, not to mention that then here come the news always late. I ordered from Magicseaweed.com, also from this site costs me less than what it costs in Italy, shipping charges are included. Another curiosity, at the level of grip on the board know if there are differences with surf wax "traditional"?

I like it, order a basecoat block too (email them and see if they can add it to your order if you havent already). It went on very nicely and is grippy . Perhaps, ever so slightly - it doesnt keep this 'grippyness' as long as other brands but it's an easy trade off for me.

of course any chemical added to the oceans will contribute to pollution, industry used the whole dispersal argument for years and look how fleshin' the oceans are now, its recommended in some areas that people don’t eat too much tuna because of the amount of toxic chemicals they have bioacumulated over the years, like DDT which has been linked to reproduction failer in many marine species as well as DNA damage and a host of other problems, luckily they are now banned in most countries. Though im guessing any surf wax that’s petroleum based will be full of PAH's and maybe TCE. TCE is nasty because its hydrophobic and tends to easly accumulate in fatty tissues. PAH's from surfwax may also be linked to coral reef degradation in some areas

Phil, you said things that I did not know. It's horrible to think that the people on earth will these things yet. The pollution of the seas is a serious matter and who has understood this is only a small group of people. To pay the costs, without some blame, especially the species animals that live there. Have you seen the last of the oil tanker disaster in the coast of Australia? Bastards! That fact may produce permanent damage that can not be recovered. They must condemn all those responsible!

the problem with oil tankers is so many are registered under flagsof convenece, meaning people can register there vesels in countrys that are not bound by the law of the sea, they can get past any saftey tests that the UN would enforce on member states, the majority of oil tankers registered under flags of convenece are likey to be unsea worthy, its really fleshin' up to be honest and its not just a problem with oil tankers but fishing vessels do the same to allow them to fish in protect areas to avoid procescusion

i study environmental science and do a marine conservation path way, i just handed a 2000 word essay in on persistant pollutants and have a law question in an exam about a case invloving oil tankers and polution

Is it just me or is anyone else feeling guilty about using Sex Wax? I've tried Palmers and Matunas Eco bu they just don't wax as nice.

"guilty" is an exaggeration . But it is good that we first surfers, but those who use the sea or on business or for pleasure, become aware of certain truths and give the good example first. If those you are not liked, Sticky Bumps Grip is always good, you might try the "Sticky Bumps Soy", I put a picture on a post . Changing the end can do only good and no costs. The price of surf wax is always the same

i have tryed them all but always go back to sex wax i just can not get the wax job i like with anything else

i've used sex wax once, and i can't go back to it. just don't like it. mrs. palmers is my go to wax. magma isn't bad though

Those who enjoy using sex wax should try Sticky Bumps. It seems the same, if not better .
