Check out the Spectral breakdown... the swell is hidden by the 'dominant' SE swell forecast.

Missed it :(

Can any one tell me in simple terms how to read the spectorial! do you look at the one from the day before for what should hit your beach????

Does it decrease in size the further from the boyo you are???

johno...i think if spout says theres gonna be a wave the you can take it as read.......if you watch his forecast daily you will see he was predicting something for the weekend from last monday although i do think it drpped from his initial thoughts..
overall i think its in west coast's interest to give accurate forecasts.

btw i cant read the specy thing either :D :D

Its about seeing what other swells are running in the swell window for N.Wales. ie the local swell forcasted was dominat over the long period SW swell. (thus it didn;t show on main forecast data.) but that doesn't mean its not there. it'll still push through the opposing swell if its got the power and the local swell is not too harsh.

Ok so av bin looking at the specky thing all week to see if i can work it out! if i get a S swell say 5 ft @ 5 seconds and a E swell say 5 ft @ 5 seconds do they cancle each other out???

Does the specky give the swell hight and period what hits the beach?

Whats every ones thoughts for sat / sun @ Hells mouth? on the specky looks like theres a 5 ft @ 5 ish secs westerly????

Cheers all

The weekend looks like seeing very small waves with northerly winds on Saturday and perhaps onshore conditions on Sunday.

  :D
