Yesterday i took a glance at Surfline predictions for today´s waves.

It predicted 5 foot waves all along the day with 6-7 foot waves at 5 am.

So i stopped doing everything i was doing at the moment and arranged everything to be able to arrive a little later to work, i cooked my supper and went to sleep early dreaming of riding the OH washing machine :woot:

Yet at 5:30 i was standing on my own at the beach, freezing my butt off, with waves less than 2 foot high. And things havent got any better later on the day.

I hate you Surfline.... i definetely hate you. :ninja:

-Rant off-

surfline does this to me all the time. in general, when i check surfline, i subtract a foot or two and decrease the conditions by a notch or two.

ah MSW aint the worst, every once in a while they'll skunk you but which website wont in fairness

windguru exaggerates the wind for windsurfers

i just use the local buoy markers and local wind forecast in conjunction with MSW

sometimes the sea just wont cooperate tho no matter how spot on the forecast is

For the locations I go to, never fails on me as opposed to other websites i've tried.
Maybe mother nature just wasn't ever meant to be predicted.
Go live on the shores and waking up every morning to the ocean would be a better way to check the surf. bahaha

it always helps to take a look at the surf cams too (if they have them at your location)

from my experience surfline reports blow. i just use the local reports as guidelines. i can usually just tell from checking the ocean everyday and the weather reports what the next day will be like
