eughhh... i killed by board today :/ the waves were like 1 foot.. high tide... there was a guy right next to me.. we paddled for the same wave.. it was mineeeeeeeeee
but he kept paddling right alongside me so i tried to pull back out and i guess he did too? not sure.. but it was too late for both of us.. and the nose of his board smashed into the bottom of mine and it created like a door like opening on the bottom of my board.. (door like because the fibgerglass pushed into the board like a door not that deep.. maybe like 2 mm? but pretty deep..) I had just gotten there so i didnt want to get out :/ so i just stayed for like 30 more min uneasily because of the foam that showed through. and i got home and i just sun cured it for a temporary fix.. was this a bad decision? should i just have waited to take it to a shaper or something? was this a really bad decision?

Did you let it dry for a few days before you fixed it? It's the bottom of the board so yeah take it to a repairer they'll do a nice job on it.

let dry, get some filler(q-cell, or micro bubbles) fill it sand smooth, glass it sand smooth and surf. do it with solar rez, and it can be fixed in a few hours.

how bad do you think it is that i sun cured it only after like 2 hours of drying?

Not good for a start suncure is the wrong thing to use for a ding like that and second when the board heats up its just gonna crack the suncure as the water vapour tries to excape.

Next time dont use suncure and let it drie for at least 48 hours or until you feel its good.

Ya, I think you should reopen the ding and let it dry out. Then, fix it yourself, or learn how to because you'll use these skills in the future.

could be a lot worse....for instance you could have shoved 1/4 bar of wax in her and called it good

Really, you are prolly fine, just watch for cracks, or separation of the patch...when you see any failure in it, grind it down and lay some glass over it.
