Hey guys,

since I always surfed in Brazil, I had my forecast websites that worked perfectly for me. Now that I'm moving to SoCal, I wanted to know what are the best sites to see surf forecasts.

where do you guys check your swells?

Sorry Bruk, was to focused on my hair brained ideas to notice....

The dreaded surfline.com but mostly wavewatch.com I use the reports to some idea of size and timing. They both have a bunch of free cams.

Thanks alot dude!

although I'm still trying to adapt to your way of measuring waves. in Brazil we don't use ft as measure, but meters. and instead of waist high, head high+, ankle high, we use 1 metrinho, 2 metrĂ£o, 0,5 metrinho, etc...

adapting to ft is much more confusing then adapting to "waist high" though.

1-3ft ankle to waist, 2-4ft waist to shoulder, 3-5ft chest to head+, 4-6ft ripping good overhead fun.

I prefer the body measure....it makes more sense, unless you are a midget.

I use magicseaweed.com , surfline.com , wavewatch.com and wetsand.com just to check them against each other. They all have there moments.

brukuns, I always look at magicseaweed.com for California. Sometimes I look at surfline.com. They have some webcams on breaks around the State.

We're in the midst of the federal holiday, Thanksgiving, and the swell is getting big.
