well... im not sure what its like down the rest o the coast but up here it is always pretty mushy, small, generally weak waves. however we do get some big ones during hurricanes. the biggest i ever saw was 12 foot faces and even then it was still very mushy. there are a few decent breaks.... theres only one or two point breaks that i know of the rest are all beach breaks. but then again i am only in RI and MA sometimes... i dont know about NH or where else. ive heard that long island has a good break. nothing i would travel from where ever you are from for.

im in virginia beach. yea it is all beach break here. when alex rolled through we had some NICE waves. they were like head high barrels. it was sick. and i went out went the actual storm was hitting and there we probably some 10-12 footers. it was a good time. they were really fast. i have a picture that was on the front page of the paper down here if you want to see it. it is a nice barrel. you can IM me :northendsurfer

wow man that sound sweet.... only once in my life have i seen a real barrel like in person... and that was in charlie.... after i had surfed for 6 hours (myarms were starting to hurt) the waves became sooo nice and solid and head high. i tried to get some barrels but the break was soo fast you almost could not catch them becuase you would nose dive =/.... fun though anyways. but by my 8th hour i was ready to pack it in..... barrels or not.

Right about now were looking at a solid 6 to 8 foot really clean swell, I think that qualifies as surfing conditions...
