old wax

I haven't scraped my old wax off in over a month or two already and I'm not sure when I should. There isn't an inch thick layer yet, so I just keep reapplying wax whenever I go surfing. I'm guessing a new wax job will have more traction?

Do you comb your wax? Save re-applying l the time jsut rough it up with the wax comb. you won't end up with it getting too thick too quickly.

As Papa said, or sometimes if i want to i use a hair dryer and warm the wax then comb it over ( before i go to the beach  ).
Haven't changed my wax for months and i rarely apply fresh wax i just comb it with an old credit card.

Usually do it when it is gray black and very ugly. Sometimes a whole year goes by w/o a scape. If you reapply you should have all the traction you could need. I scrape when I think I have to much wax on there.....sometimes a softball size wax ball comes off.

Same here.. I tend to go a few months without scraping and re-applying. I usually just end up doing it when it gets more like sand paper instead of wax. :x

I second the notion for combing it through and apply over the top some more.
