Community Board

Hi all,
Well, as my girlfriend and Mum both predicted, I have shown my usual addictive personality and Gear Acquisition Syndrome and bought a second board within a month of the first!!
After having a WONDERFUL ride on another surfers nine and a bit footer (thanks if you on here)I realised what a but of extra length and width can do for you. (I should have listened to the girls).
So I managed to bag me a Soles Up Front 9.2’ / 24” off ebay for the reasonable sum of £180 with its own bag and leash.
I was thinking of returning the original board to the shop I bought it from as the owner said he would give me a good buy back price when I had outgrown it,
But then I hit on another Idea…(well borrowed it from someone else on here) … lots of my mates are interested in surfing , two of them particularly so , they also have wetsuits but we are always held up by the opening hours of the board rental shops…you know, jobs, life , that sorta stuff.
2 calls later and we have struck an agreement where I will keep the original board and “rent” it to my surf-interested friends, passing on the advice I have been given on how to surf as we go. Once I have gotten the equivalent of the trade in price back from everyone who uses it, then it will become a Community Board and anyone who wants to use it can do for free as and when.
I am really struck on this as a bit of a win win situation as is solves my problem of wanting to go out surfing with someone but being tied to surf shop hours for getting my mates their kit.
Also if worst comes to worst and everyone else's interest fades out, I can still trade it in as per original plan (probably with a few more dings knowing my mates) hehe.
