Longboard + Stylin' + Strap

Postby DoorM4n » Wed May 21, 2008 1:48 am

Hey fellas,

I could have posted this in the long boarding forum but I figured that more people will see it here, thus more success and personal input.

I'm looking for a longboard to buy myself for my birthday and figured I would ask some experienced surfers on the intermediate brands.

Questions:

1. What brand would you suggest an intermediate surfer purchase when dealing with longboards?

2. What measurements generally decide whether a board is a longboard or a shortboard?

3. How would you rate a Mini-mal?

4. Can you get a mini-mal with a strap? Why do some boards have straps and others do not?

Thanks for reading and hopefully these questions aren't too "shubish" for ya fellas. :P

1 - go to a shaper and get summin custom made - doesnt cost anymore.

2 - to me a longboard is anything over 7ft  nah but generally anything over 9ft can be considered a longboard that is if it has longboard shape anything below sorta falls into the minimal/hybrid/fun and all the other grey areas

3 - same answer as 1
