Smart move to stay out of the water! Enjoy the warm Florida sun, kick back and have a cold one (if your 21) take some digital photos if you have a camera and post them out here for us. I'd love to see some photos if possible.

bring your board with you... reports lie all the time. especially about wave heights. usually they just give the swell height out at sea which tends to be far smaller by the time it hits the beach.
if it is too big use the oppurtunity to scope around some other areas that may be protected from the brunt of the swell by a headland or something that the swell has to wrap around. theres a couple of beaches over here that only start to make 3ft waves when the swell is over 30ft.
good to watch good surfers but i prefer to do it on dvds where you can see more clearly what they are doing

They're supposed to be some big slabs for the next 2 days, but its supposed to be a little smaller and offshore this weekend (sat, sun), so there's still a chance for fun

Well my surfing Ocean Rescue friend who sits in the tower all day was predicting epic waves here in the south today. It must be late or forgot to come because all we have so far is "Epic Poop" . Still watching though it could happen :)
