New Airline Policy?

Postby tomcat360 » Mon Mar 10, 2008 2:10 pm

So I've heard that the airlines are charging additional for extra bags or something to make up on fuel costs.

Any idea on what they are saying on boards? I've never had to deal with it.

Well that's just a delight to hear......what are people doing?

I guess while we are on the topic, any good rental places in San Diego not renting bics or foamies?

And some airline is trying to stop you from surfing by breaking your board.

Yeah I did miss that post. But over on this side of the pond they changed the extra bag policy about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I'll look at some of the sites.

I hope that the breaking boards is a rumor or joke?

When my buddy went to Hawaii he got there with his board in 2 pieces. Brand new Al Merrick too. They gave him a check to cover the cost of the board though.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll rent from them if the people we are staying with don't have a couple boards we can bum off them.

Hey Tomcat, give us the scoop on your trip to San Diego. I'd be interested to hear how the surfing there seems different (or reletively the same) from our local Atlantic breaks in VA and MD. I'd love to get over the Cali sometime for a trip. I hear SD is one of the most beautiful cities anywhere (but very expensive to live).

I don't think it is "very" expensive to live, but it isn't cheap
